1972 Eleanor Mustang

The original Gone in 60 seconds "Eleanor" was a 1971 Mustang masquerading as a '73 Mach 1. The more recent Eleanor was a '67 fastback. My "E Clone" Mustang will combine features from both.

This blog chronicles my 1972 Mustang project. It will cover in step by step fashion, from start to finish, the completion of my version of "Eleanor". In the first movie (1974), Eleanor was a big bodied fastback like mine. In the second movie (2000/Nicholas Cage), Eleanor was a 1967 Shelby GT500.

93 cars were destroyed during this chase scene.

The pictures below will provide some inspiration to the '72 Eleanor project. I'll steal a few ideas from these cars but this Eleanor project will have it's own custom details like a larger fender flares, rear spoiler, black wheels and Shelby side scoops.
